Amazing museum & original lighthouse that you have to visit at least once - kids love it! It's one of the last few maybe that has the original beacon/glass light. It's quite a trek up though...177 steps! No use going during a rain storm though as they won't let you go up if there is any lightening going on.

If you or a family member are interested in lighthouses and you're near the Pensacola area, this is a great stop. Climb around and around the spiral staircase, and out onto the walkway at the top for some compelling views of the area beaches. You'll also be overlooking the Naval Air Station where the Blue Angels flight squadron is based. Nice little historical museum in the keepers' house.
