Just had the worst experience! The pedicure for both of us was great. I went to pay and the cashier refused to accept the gift certificate because it was issued by the store owner and not her. She confiscated the gift certificate without advising why and tried to call the store owner but couldn't contact him. She said I should pay the full amount and come back the next day for a refund of the gift certificate. Keep in mind she said the gift certificate WAS issued by the owner. I refused because we all know gift certificates are nonrefundable. I wrote my cell number on the receipt and said have the owner call if there was an issue. She insisted I provide my drivers license. I wrote it on the receipt and held up the drivers license for her to confirm the info. She tried to wrestle it from my hands. After 15 minutes of arguing, I thanked the gentlemen who did the pedicures and left. Tomorrow, I'll call to complain to the owner for allowing an employee to ruin great mother/daughter time.
