I would avoid this company. i recently purchased a pair or sun glasses with progressive lens. They totally botched it up and when I complained they sent the glasses back to the laboratory. I was told the lens were redone but that was a total lie. Corporate office not even interested in my complaint. When I told my wife she reminded me that they had already botched 2 other pair of glasses in years past. Another example of how a local company preys on its clientele.

My family and I have been going to Bard Optical for about five or six years. Recently, I had purchased a pair of glasses that I paid CASH for. Good thing they came back and ready for pick up within a few days. I go to the store to pick them up and they are not what I paid for they looks not different than the ones I currently wear so therefore I paid for a different look. So, they send them back for them to be redone whice this time took five days. The manager tells me that they should be in on the fifth day, well by the end of that day on the fifth day I don't hear from any one. So, I called and the manager give me the whole apology scenario and that they returned my glasses AGAIN because it wasn't under their approval on how they were made for the second time. After about a week in a half and waiting I requested for my money back because they said the manufacturer company couldn't get them how I wanted them. Once again I been going to Bard Optical for fives and never had any problems until now. Its been two weeks and haven't got my refund back and talked to the corporate office and the lady asked my "why did I pay CASH for my glasses". I'm going to stop there because this whole purchase of my glasses goes way....beyond than what I am sending. If you want great service Bard Optical at Grand Prairie is NOT my recommendation.

Bard Optical made glasses for me that were so defective as a result of poor workmanship, that they caused me two years of double vision and migraine headaches. I had numerous tests including an MRI of my brain to make sure that there was not a tumor that was causing my double vision and headaches. Finally my ophthalmologist tested my glasses and found that the cause of these significant problems was the glasses. These glasses, which were made by Bard Optical's own lab, had more than 4 times the recommended amount of base down prism in my left eye and more than 5 times the recommended amount of base down prism (set by the American Standards Institute ANSI) in my left eye. This created a vertical imbalance that my brain and the muscles of my eyes could not overcome and the result was double vision and migraine headaches. The standards set by the ANSI have been established for our protection and should be followed by all optical providers.

My eye would not cooperate on one of the tests and the doctor made it clear that she was frustrated with me. She made me feel like I was faking it and like I was an idiot that didn't know how to push a button. NOT very professional if you ask me.
