I don't know how this Management Company got such bad reviews, I guess they probably have changed managers since the date the other review was posted. I have been renting one of this company's properties for a little over a year now, and it has been nothing short of a pleasure dealing with them.

I have contacted them in 4 different occasions since I moved in:

The first time was about the washing machine in the townhouse that I rent from them. It was an old machine, that wasn't working properly. Since I waited until a couple hours after midday to call, they couldn't send someone immediately, but they did show up first time in the morning, the day after, checked the machine and repaired it; but that did not do much good: My clothes were still soaking wet after washing them, and it took forever to get them dry, so I called again, and they replaced the machine for a new (and nicer) one two days later.

The next time I had to call them was about our monthly rent. My husband and I were out of town, and I forgot to leave a check to pay de rent before leaving. I was very embarrassed (and worried) about my mistake, and called to ask if I could pay with a debit card by phone, or online, and even though it wasn't possible, the lady to whom I spoke was very nice and understanding, and said that I could bring a check as soon as I got back from my trip; and when I asked about a late fee, she told me she would waive it, since it was the first time I was late with my rent.

Last july, my husband and I got locked out of the house, and even though it was a sunday (and during the 4th of july weekend), I called the number they give for emergencies and they sent someone to open the door for us. We waited less than half an hour for said person.

Today, the a/c compressor broke down. I called at 9 am, and the maintenance person showed up before 10:30 am. He checked everything in the house, and concluded the problem was outside. It turned out the compressor was overheated. He shut it off and said he would be back in a couple hours, because it needed to cool down before he could check out what was wrong. He came back as he said, checked the compressor and told me it was beyond repair, but he would bring a new one tomorrow. I was already thinking about booking a hotel for the night (it's very hot today), but he showed up, half an hour after leaving, with a window a/c unit for our bedroom, so that we wouldn't have any problem sleeping at home tonight.

I am very happy with the service I have received from NHS Property Management. It has been nothing but a pleasure to deal with a management company like this one, after a really bad experience with the company that managed the place in which we lived in Tx

PLEASE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A APT, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT!!! I BEEN IN MY APT FOR TWO MONTHS AND ALREADY HAD WATER DAMAGE AND THE APTS ABOVE ME AND NEXT TO ME HAVE ALSO HAVE WATER DAMAGE. THEY DO NOT CHANGE OUT THE CARPET BUT PUT BLOWERS IN AND THEN TACK BACK DOWN. I ASKED IF THEY WOULD EVEN TAKE SOME MONEY OFF MY RENT AND THEY SAID NO CAUSE IT WASN'T THAT BAD, BUT MY BED WAS RUINED AND ITS BEEN THREE WEEKS AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T FIXED MY CEILING. THEY CARE MORE ABOUT MONEY THEN THEY DO THEIR TENANTS BEING HAPPY. SO WHATEVER YOU DO PAY THE EXTRA MONEY FOR A BETTER APT, JUST DO NOT RENT FROM ANY NHS PROPERTIES!!!

I was a tenant at one of NHS property, Versailles hamlet,W loire court,peoria,IL 61614.It was a terrible experience for me.The manager over there,Tracy Erwin is horrible.She is a big time liar.She is the worst manager I have ever seen.She walks into any apartment without any notice or nothing.Also apartments over there has a bed bug issue.The landlord charges the tenant for the bed bug issue which the landlord should take care.It was a nightrmare experience for me and would not recommend it for anyone
