We were in the area for three weeks visiting family and boarded our two Paso finos here. This place quickly became home - Lenore and Rex, the owners, are knowledgeable, friendly, and live on site. There are both individual and communal pens of good size available. There’s good quality hay, a round pen, arena and wash racks available. One of our mares, who eats fast and box walks (an obsessive compulsive disorder where a horse walks continuously back and forth along a fence line or corner) had a slow feeder which slowed down her eating and gave her something to do. The tack rooms are attractive, roomy and are generally shared by two boarders each. You can ride out from the ranch on one of the many dirt roads which honeycomb the area through hills offering views of the lake, river and town (visit we’ll ride down the the river and fish.) I would say the best part of our experience were the people boarding there. Mostly older (like us) they were all devoted to their horses, friendly and there’s always someone there. This is a home away from home and I recommend it highly.
