The owner is a crook! He runs a shady business and takes advantage of people. I have never pawned jewelry before and didn't know what to expect. I had a very sick dog and was upset because I didn't have the money to bring my dog to the vet. I had a 14 carat gold chain and decided to sell it. I brought it to him and he gave me $100 for it. I was emotional about my dog and he took full advantage of that. I asked him how much he was giving me per pound by accident. I meant per gram. He just made fun of me and never answered me. He laughed at me. I was shaken up. He was fast and quick to get me out. Once I went home my boyfriend asked me how much it weighed? How much the owner paid me per gram? I didn't know because the pawn shop owner didn't tell me. I was inexperienced in this. I went back and asked him. He paid me $11 a gram. I asked him how much the necklace weighed? He said that he FORGOT! It was at that moment that I realized that he ripped me off. He forgot how much it weighed? Why didn't he look it up? He has a receipt with all the information that he sends to the police station and keeps a copy(the original) for himself. How could someone take advantage of a person who teaches in this town. A person who lives in this town. A person who goes to church here. A person who volunteers here. Who owns a home here. a person who is a part of of the Perry community. My first experience at a pawn shop and the guy rips me off. I called Howard's pawn shop out of curiosity. He offered me $16.45 a gram for 14 carat gold.

Been doing business with Perry Pawn for over 25 years. I have bought over $50,000.00 worth of gold and silver here over the years. This is the most professionally run establishment in middle GA. They handle your money like professionals. Just like a casino would. They count it out on the counter and ask that you do the same. There is no better way to make sure I don't short change them or them short change me. After all Casinos handle more money than any bank. Maybe we should make our banks work more like Casinos.



Most of the Jewelry is new. You will always find a smile in Perry at the Perry Pawn shop.
