Worked here for quite some time and have experienced many things. Let start off with the rules. Kids aren’t allowed to be punished, instead we would use “I’ll give you what you want if you behave please”. This is the most frustrating thing to deal with. Everyday i would reward these kids for bad behavior. Now on to the children’s behavior. These kids are bad. Like bad bad. I have been slapped, punched, bit, and left with bruises on my body. But what can i do? Nothing. In the owners “mind” it’s my fault for getting hurt because i couldn’t keep the kid under control. The owner is so nasty to everyone. She doesn’t care who you are or what you say, she is always right and will call you names and make you feel less of a being. Now the workers, we worked hard and loved the kids but there’s a point to where we can’t tolerate the child’s bad behavior and may yell (which isn’t allowed), i once got in trouble for yelling at a group of kids punching each other. “My fault”. There was so much work to do on a tight schedule that was almost impossible at times, that if i didn’t keep up i would be penalized. Work schedule was all over place, wouldn’t inform i was coming in later then it said and you would only know the next day schedule in the afternoon when you’re leaving. Left everyday dissapointed and completely ruined my mood. I will never send my child here and will not recommend.

My son has been at WMCC since he was 6 months old (he's now 2 1/2), and we've had nothing but good experiences with the owner, caretakers, and directors. In fact, my son has THRIVED in this daycare! At around 14 months, his doctors had some concerns about his language development and fine motor skills. We talked to his teachers about this, and they developed some strategies to help him with these skills, and now he has no problems in these areas. He loves all of his teachers and he loves Ms. Betty, always running to them with a big hug. The teachers are very approachable, communicative and nurturing, and my son is learning so much! It breaks my heart to see so many negative reviews, as this is not the WMCC we know and love.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!

This daycare while prim, proper, and posh, all they care about is MONEY!!!! My daughter's father stopped paying his court ordered part of her child care and I fell behind in my payment by 2 weeks. Ms. Betty and Ms. Anne the bookkeeper REPEATEDLY confronted me everyday at the door (In front of my daughter) as if they assumed I would not pay. If I asked to pay on my pay date, they added an additional $50.00 late fee. The summer camp is an additional $100.00 per week PLUS field trips that cost between $20 and $50 EXTRA! So for the entire Summer camp you pay $3000.00 with NO field trips included. Ridiculous!!! I stayed there for my daughter's friends but after being confronted for the third time, I am pulling her immediately!!!! They are disrespectful, condescending, threatening and RUDE!!! They don't even deserve ONE star!

Horrible day care

This by far is a bad bad day care .the children are treated very poorly .Betty hires young teenage girls so she can .Treat them however she sees fit .One incident were a staff member smacked one of the young children .Betty did not report it or terminate the staff member all she did was move her to another room ..And the reason she never gets in any trouble .Is because she is very close friends to the person that inspects the day cares around here .It is a very unfitt daycare center .For any child to be part of

White Marsh Child Care Center is a great place to send your children. As a Mom of three, my children have attended the center for different amounts of time over the past ten years. They have always been friendly and helpful, and prepared my children for school. The center was recently accreditated my the Maryland State of Department of Education, and you can see the amount of effort, time, and money that has been put into the center, especially recently. They have a state of the art splash pad that my kids love. It disappoints me to read such slanderous garbage that is posted here. Check out the center for yourself and form your own opinion.

If you are going to ask for a review then ask me - I have been sending my kids to WMCC for over 14 years. I love Betty, I see her almost everynight when I pick up my kids and really enjoy our conversations. My 16 year old went there till he was 12. My now 5 and 3 year olds have been there since infant. I have read the reviews on here and am confused b/c I've been going there for 14 years and they are completely wrong, If you want to ask someone - ask me. I am very happy and have always been happy with WMCC. I have always liked all her staff. From what I see, she treats her staff well except when they do something they shouldn't. I'd say that's normal expecially when you are dealing with taking care of other peoples kids.

not that bad...

Are there young staff members? Yes. Is Carol a business person who will say what you want to hear even though it's obvious what's going on? Absolutely. However, as a school teacher, I have been impressed with what my child has learned in the 3 years he has been there. His language skills and basic pre-school knowledge, as well as his social skills, are more advanced than what he would get from an in house daycare. Is it the Goddard School? No, but the price is right. Sure there are some things that have happened that are questionable, but as a school teacher, I see the same things happen in my school--injuries happen, crying happens, sicknesses happen. But as young as the staff is, they give a lot of love to not only my child, but to the other children as well. Thank you to Miss Brittany, Miss Kirsten, Miss Arielle (who no longer works there), Miss Lisa, Miss Brianna, and, yes, even Miss Jen, who, contrary to previous postings, is NOT the stupidest person on Earth.

Not interested in childcare at all!

I took my child here for all of a week before she was injured. The reponse I got from the daycare? How do we know it didn't happend at home? They are not interested in caring for your child...its a pay check the teachers need and income the driectors want. HORRIBLE place! If you value your childs safety, DO NOT take them here.

Terrible day care! The superv...

Terrible day care! The supervision of the children is way below standards! Most of the employees are very young and not very interested in engaging the children. My perception was that the employees were waiting for the end of the day and the weekend. When I came to pick my child up, they were discussing "guys" or "what they had planned for the weekend" Also, my daughter had some of her things stolen from her cubby. When this was brought to the attention of the daycare person, we were told that she shouldn't bring anything from home with her. My response, "If you are supervising these children properly, this may not have happened." Also, the owner, Betty, never returns her phone calls. I have left many messages for her, but have never received a returned phone call. No. My child will not be attending this child care center again!
