Provided by YP.comI purchased a house in Chardon with a septic system installed by Marut and Sons Excavating. The system is less than 7 years old and is failing. I can't get them to call me back to even discuss the issues, possible fixes or alternatives. Overall the installation looked sloppy. The junction boxes are crooked and the holding tank was left exposed. I have had to call other contractors since Marut and Sons Excavating will not return my calls and since found out the installation was faulty from the beginning. Again the system is only 7 years old and to fix the Marut and Sons Excavating sub-standard installation is now going to cost me $14,000+. Poor quality workmanship and no customer service. This could have been a positive feedback story if someone would have at least called me back and even attempted to stand behind their workmanship. I guess those values are hard to find these days. Good luck to anyone who uses these guys, if you can get a call back? Even one star is not deserved at this point. If they decide to call and try to make it right I will post that too.

Provided by YP.comI bought a house in Concord, OH and had the septic tank inspection failed. The owners of the house along with Keller Williams Realty suggested that i use Marut and Sons because they are well known and do good work. This is definitely not the case. Not only did they show up unannounced, but they pried the lower garage door open without consent. I showed up just to check on the work because i work for a general contractor to begin with. I was ignored by all personnel, so i decided to take some pictures. My garage door still does not work properly to this day and they have done nothing to fix it. At the time, that was the least of my worries. After this terrible contractor was done, i called them back to come and fix the grading. I was constantly put off and was forced to pay for dirt to be brought in and finish the job myself. I also had to go out and buy my own grass seed because all they left me with was a giant pile of mud that exposed the top 1/3 of the tanks! Did I mention they didn't screw a lid down? I have nothing good to say about this crew and coming from a general contractors standpoint, I would not recommend them to do anything. Please take a look at the pictures. If i could give them zero stars for service, I would.
