I have to say that I and wife came to know about Petaluma Parent Nursery School (PPNS) accidentally through word of mouth. PPNS is one of the best kept secrets of Petaluma.



It is a great school for parents who want to be involved in the developmental years of their child 2-4. There is lot of involvement from parents in everything that happens in the school from shaping the curriculum to day-to-day activities like breakfast or art. It is fun and safe atmosphere which both children and their parents enjoy.



There are weekly education classes for parents as well on parenting. There are problem solving sessions where a parent presents the problem he/she is having with his/her child and then based on "Positive discipline��� guidance, other parents suggest various solutions or options to try out. There is lot of community-like feeling and camaraderie among the parents involved in this school. The teacher in PPNS is wonderful!



Since parents take up lot of responsibility on the various activities in the school, the monthly charges are as low as $30 per month for 2s, $60 for 3s and $80 for 4s. We have visited many preschools in Petaluma and there are so really good preschools but they were not able to provide the value that the child and the parent could derive out of a school like PPNS does. If nothing else I would highly recommend to go visit the school and see it first hand.
