After finding this restaurant online by searching for [Petaluma Italian restaurant] it seemed worth a try. Sugo was a name we could relate to and when I called to check out the menu it was what we were looking for.
Five of us had dinner there in May of this year for Mothers day. The name sugo is what we called pasta and other Italian sauces as we were growing up in our swiss-talian household. We were delighted with the wait staff and the service we recieved. I must say the atmosphere and the decor were not what we expected, modern I guess but interesting. We never had eaten there or even heard of Sugo's but we were impressed with all the dishes we tried. We had the ravioli, the nochi, and spaghetti, and all were delicious authentic italian dishes. We all agreed the nochi with pesto was our favorite just like home made. Our Mom enjoyed it very much.
When we return we can determine if this visit was a fluke or not.
