Provided by YP.comI absolutely love Big Guy's Magic! Being relatively new to magic, I wanted a place where I could go to learn magic and at the same time, feel like I was a part of something bigger. That's exactly what I got at Big Guy's Magic. Big Guy, though he looks intimidating at first, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He is always willing to show you any trick you might want to see and if he doesn't have what you're looking for, he's happy to order it. The other magicians that work there are also quite nice and are just as willing to demonstrate any product.
Since I'm also a female magician, I'm already somewhat of an oddity, but whenever I go to Big Guy's, I've never felt ostracized or awkward because I'm a girl in a relatively male-dominated art form. Whenever I go there, I feel like I'm part of the family, something that hasn't happened at other magic shops. All in all, I love Big Guy's Magic and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high quality magic store.

Provided by YP.comFirst off I would like to say that its nice to have a place like Big Guys Magic Shop to go to and hang out with other Magicians. Being Milwaukee's "Big Bopper" and in the Entertainment field for 30 + years. I can say that Not a lot of other Magic shops I have been to makes you feel like your part of a family. The first time I walked in to Big Guys, I was Greeted by Big Guy himself and a couple other Magicians that were not only friendly but willing to show me some of there favorite magic tricks right off the get go. I stayed for 4 hours on my first Visit!!! The store is not as small as it seems, But then again it is full of a lot of great magic. In fact I don't know of any another Magic store in Wisconsin with this much magic all in one place. if there is please let me know. I don't know about you, But when I go to a magic store I don't expect the owner to be showing me Magic tricks that I am not even interested in. I don't buy grocery's at the store and expect someone to show me how to eat! If I want to see a trick then I will ask someone to show it to me. I know what tricks will go with my performance skills I sure wouldn't expect a magic shop owner to know what they are. Every time I went in Big Guy's shop and wanted to see a certain type of trick, Big Guy would go out of his way to show me that trick. And if he didn't know it, one of the other magicians would or he would play it on his big screen TV. after all you cant expect a store owner/Magician to know every trick out there. And as far as magic history , As stated in another persons review, Thats what books are for. You cant go wrong with Big Guys magic shop. Fair ,Friendly, and a great place to Visit......Hope to See you there.

Provided by YP.comBig Guys Magic is a great shop. It’s the only magic shop I have been to that has a very welcome feeling the first time you walk in the door. There are snacks, soda, a couch and a bunch of folding chairs if you just want to hang out and talk. Big Guy (the owner) is by far one of the nicest, more sincere, and down to earth people I have ever met. Some people complained that big guy was too pushy, which I find to be one of the most absurd things I have ever heard.
Others have mentioned that the shop was rather small. Indeed the shop is small, and so are 90% of other brick and mortar magic shops out there. And those who say it is small have not seen the other two rooms off to the side of the shop. I will say what big guys magic lacks in square footage he makes up in product. He has more product than any other shop in the state. If you are looking for it, he most likely has it, and if he does not, he is quick to put in a special order just for you.
Customer satisfaction is Big Guy's main goal, he knows much of his business is going to be from repeat customers, and I have seen him go great lengths to make sure customers are happy. The magic community is rather small, and we should all do our best to support local brick and mortar shops. I have become a better magician, learned more about magic, and have been able to meet some truly amazing magicians just by hanging out at the shop. This place is a treasure, and I am happy to say so without hiding behind a screen name.

Provided by YPmobileI took my 9 yr. Old there (after I read the 1star review) big guy was kind & respectful. After we looked for a bit he was helpful in recommending age appropriate tricks in our price range. He demonstrated the tricks for us & has a good sense of humor. Nothing was pushed upon us. We bought 3 reasonably priced tricks & will go back again. Nice & fun ;)

Provided by YP.comI can assume all the positive reviews are friends of the owner of this shop to make up for the honest review of MagicBoy.
The owner is very big which I can admit can be intimidating to younger shoppers, however I am not judging the owner by his size or shape. The owner comes across as very pushy and did seem to lack intimate knowledge of magic history and performance skills.
Big Guy seems to represent today's "internet magic stores", they want to sell products but have no real interest in vesting themselves in the trade (except enough to sell products).
The store is rather small and the prices are "fair", however, I would rather spend my time in a store where I feel the owner is knowledgeable to give practical advice to improve my performance skills and recommend effects that would compliment my act. I doubt that Big guy has the ability to do more then push tricks.
As for his demonstration skills, I did not see any. Big Guy was quick to point out products, but offered no live demonstrations to see how it looked. If you just want tricks, save the gas money and shop on the internet. If you want to to develop skills, visit a shop where the owners is a seasoned performer then build a relationship with that brick and mortar store.
I would recommend personally, if you are Wisconsin looking for magic stores go to the Jest For Fun Joke Shop in Waukesha, Kenosha Magic in Kenosha or Abracadabra Magic Shop in Appleton, Wisconsin where the owners are performers who can really help your act.

Provided by YP.comHello world, first off I gave it four stars for review just because no one is perfect in this world. Now the shop itself has a comfortable atmosphere and very welcoming, Big Guy may come off a little pushy to some, but if you can make him laugh and perform some great magic, he will be a friend for life! Tho Big Guy (greg) doesnt do alot of magic but his boisterous character will make you feel at home, and be kind, he has bad knees :)
Pros : Always up to date with most current magic products on the market, this includes dvds, gimmicks, priceless collectibles, and fake poop with corn to really gross your siblings with. And out of all magic shops, how many can you say have a soda fridge fresh and ready for your consumption?
Cons: Not enough books! Big Guy knows this but the shop is only so big, so I suppose you only have so much room lol.
If you have any questions, call Big Guys Magic shop or email me, Im a customer for life!

Provided by YP.comI love this shop. It's like an old-fashioned magic shop, very friendly and comfortable. It's clean, well-stocked, and the prices are the cheapest I have fond on most items. Plus, they sell soft drinks and snacks if you just want to hang out.

Provided by YP.comThe shop is too small. The "big" guy (owner?) never left the couch and was rather pushy. I doubt if he knows how to do any of the magic because there was no demonstrations.
If you get the chance skip this place and go to the Jokeshop in downtown Waukesha. Friendly store owner, magic demonstrations and tons of room with great magic, jokes and stuff.
