Provided by YP.comHad to schedule move from a 3rd floor apt to a new house (finally!). Elevator worked but its practically too small for anything bigger than a couple lamps and a box. Thought about doing the whole move myself, but decided to look at some prices of movers just to see what was out there. Most of the places around were a little too pricey for what I could have probably done myself, but figured I'd call around. I got a hold of Tim and he seemed a lot more personable than the other places, but the price seemed to be just right for our amount of stuff. Thought I might as well go for it because honestly, I didn't want to do it myself in the snow. Tim was good about calling in advance to verify the times, and showed up himself for the move.
I will say, at first I felt like the guys seemed a little rough around the edges, but by the end of the move we were all cracking jokes and I felt like I was part of the family. The move went surprisingly quick, even considering the elevator situation and the snow/rain/gross mix (thanks Wisconsin). Moved everything into our new place, and reassembled the bed and put everything where we wanted it. After they were done, Tim said he felt bad for them tracking in snow and some mud on the front carpet and knocked off $30 just because. I said I would have done the same if I tried do it myself, but he didn't accept no for an answer. Hopefully won't be needing to move soon, but will definitely be recommending to friends!

Provided by YP.comThese movers were great with great personality and work ethic. I don't know what the review below were talking about, but the movers showed up promptly and everything pay wise was correct. They treated my items nice and were a joy to talk to. Very great experience.

Provided by YP.comHired Brew City Mivers to move my family on 9/30/2016. During the move they broke both my couches, Tim avoided my husbands calls about getting them fixed. I decided to call and I got him on the phone, we scheduled a day for him to come fix this problem and he no showed and never called. Since 11/7/2016 my calls have gone unanswered. Today I filed a complaint with the BBB. Avoid using these movers, very unprofessional.

Provided by YP.comWhere do we start other than these guys are awful and unprofessional. First, they did not perform an onsite visit to assess the amount of work they needed to do. So, when they arrived with the wrong(too small) truck and it was full of SNOW, it took them two trips. Second, they showed up to move my house furnishings and they had no tools to remove doors from a refrigerator. Not only did we had to provide them tools, it took my kids and YouTube video to perform the task and reassemble it once we got to our new home. When we thought things couldn't get much worse, they damaged an antique vanity (shattered frame & cracked the mirror) and tried to blame it on us because the mirrors would not come off. Eventually, they picked up the vanity to be repaired and subsequently dumped it off at their furniture repair guy. Guess what? They left it on his front porch in the snow and the repair guy was in Florida and could not work on it. Next, they picked up the vanity and it took them MONTHS to deliver to the new furniture repair place and then Tim argued about making the situation whole. No professionalism or appropriate decorum to the client. Would look elsewhere for the next move.

Provided by YP.comThey charged my credit card $10 more than what was written on the receipt and what I signed for. It's not worth my time to argue this charge with my credit card company, but i'm calling it out here as others should know this. I truly hope it was an honest mistake, but I'm skeptical because of the review below and because they also charged me more than what they quoted over the phone. They quoted me $110/hour and $40 fuel/drive fee, but actually ended up charging me $115/hr and $45 fuel/drive fee. I noticed that discrepancy in quote vs actual charges when I signed the receipt, but did not say anything/argue it because they had a few extra guys there helping at the end. The extra guys were only there because the crew at my place was working too slow. They needed the extra help so they could get to their next scheduled job in time. I was also not pleased with their professionalism. The lead guy was on the phone arguing with someone (appeared to be a personal call) for the first 60-90 minutes of the move (while he was hauling stuff), and one guy was almost useless. He seemed like a random guy they grabbed off the street that had no knowledge/experience with moving. Only one of the three guys was really there working hard and being professional. I would not recommend them to anyone in the future.

Provided by YP.comI don't kow what to say about this place other than if I was able to give them negative stars I would.
Brew City Movers was reccomended to me by a friend. When I called to set up a move I was quoted a rate of $86/hr and a $40 fuel surcharge. They were friednly and took all my information and were easy to work with when the date of my move changed. I also liked that they didn't charge you until they got to the location.
Two days before my move I got a call asking if the time could be changed. No big deal but then the night before they called to change the time again which was a little frustrating. The actual day of the move they did show up on time at my storage unit. All I can say is that the way they moved me could have been accomplished by a group of college boys for a case of beer. They were not profesional - they were polite but far from professional - they didn't wrap anything and in fact removed my mattress and box spring from the bags I had them stored in and put them in the back of there truck which was a filthy mess of blankets and plastic. I was cringing at the sight of them picking things up and tossing them in the back of the truck with no regard for anything.
The same was true for the unloading - when they got to my aparmtent everything was unloaded with haste - but i will say they got it done quickly.
In fact they got in done in under an hour start to finish (my dad timed them from the time they pulled up at the storage unti to the time the guy started writing out my invoice) - but when it came time to pay they not only charged me a differnt rate of $105/hr instead of the $86/hr I was told over the phone but then the owner was nice enough to inform me they had a 2.5 hour move minimum. This was not at all what I expecting or what I had been told when making the reservation and considering the unprofessinoal job they did I was blown away at the price tag.
$280.00 for a 54 minute move- when I said something about not being aware of the 2.5 hour minimum move he knocked $30 off the balance. He also had me fill out the invoice and sign it before he filled in all the pricing which I never should have done.
I was very unimpressed with the whole thing - I had previously used Two Men and a Truck for my last move - they had raised there rate slightly but shame on me or not using them anyways - a lower price ended up not being a lower price. Next time I won't make the same mistake and will use professional movers who clearly outline rates/minimums and don't jsut spring it on you.
I ended up having my mattress professinally cleaned after this - partially because it had gotten wet while in storage and partially because the movers had done a nice job of dropping it uncovered in the truck and getting it dirty. The box Spring was also clened at an additional cost to me.
I would not use Brew City Movers in the future and would encourage people to get any business you do with them in writing first.

Provided by YP.comWanted everyone to know about the great experience I had using Brew City Movers.
They helped me move my business and also dropped a few pieces off to my home in
Brookfield. I had a lot of nice office furniture and not a scratch on any of it. Highly recommend these guys to anyone. The guys were very professional and had
had a thorough knowledge of moving furniture. Thanks Austin, Carl, and Tim
Great job.

Provided by YP.comNot a good experience with these guys. First, they broke multiple items and seemed to have an excuse for everything which mainly focused on it being our fault for packing incorrectly (determined by the owner over the phone). Then one item never showed up, and after he broke that he just decided to give us cash to compensate us. After I realized there were no longer light bulbs in any lamps, days later when Tim finally returned my call, he told me they take those out so nothing gets broken. Seems like a decent idea assuming they put them back?? Last, they over charged us for a half hour stating we always round up 15 minutes and we ended up having more guys than originally agreed upon so it would have taken longer anyways. Customer service lacking across the board. Will be hiring some actual professionals next time.

Provided by YPmobileI have used this company twice in the past 12 months. They have great customer service and do quality work efficiently. They don't charge until they arrive at your place. Always on time, too. Very polite and thoughtful as they quickly move the heavy items. It took about 2 hours to move me out of an upper in a duplex (very narrow doorways and complicated stairway) and into a house in Milwaukee. I will recommend this company to everyone.

Provided by YPmobileAt first I was weary of some negative reviews but found them all to be inaccurate. I have bounced around a lot recently and tried many movers. Finally a friend recommended Brew City Movers to me after they used them. They were the only movers I have ever used who start the hour meter when they arrive, rather than when the leave their office. I felt as though all my belongings were safe and in good hands. Before the move I could reach Tim very easily and he was very polite, I thought. All in all a great job well done!

Provided by YP.comI hired them to move my mother. You would think one person wouldn't have a lot of personal belongings, but she does. The movers were on time and worked fast! I am extremely happy with everything they did for us. Thank you!

Provided by YP.comTerrible movers. They didn't wrap up any of my furniture and scratch up just about every piece of furniture that was worth anything. They even broke the drawer off of one of my end table cabinets and then wrapped it up in saran wrap, so I wouldn't see it until they left.

Provided by YP.comI want to share a great experience with our move. It went really smooth. Your team worked well together, joking with each other to make the hard work go faster. Good leadership with your men. Your guy lead the crew through a tough situation with a calm approach. In general, we enjoyed the move. Your employees are a great reflection of your company.
