Pharr Elementary provides various educational programs for students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum includes courses in English, reading, writing, science, physical education, music and math. The school also operates a two-way language program that combines native speakers of a target language with native speakers of English to promote bilingualism and biculturalism. Located in Pharr, Texas, the school is a part of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools and serves over 25,000 students. The district also focuses on child nutrition and supplies morning and afternoon meals to more than 35 satellite schools.
