When I went to Philadelphia to renew my password at the custom house, I stopped by at Ben & Betsy’s café on Market Street. This was a beautiful and well managed place. You step into an art gallery with simple and comfortable furniture and relaxing music. There are reading material and free wi-fi. I had a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich there with Mocha. The coffee and sandwich were exceptionally fresh and delicious. I was surprise that the price was very reasonable and less than a typical diner. I highly recommend the place.

A cozy little mom and pop cafe.

Had breakfast there. Good coffee, great breakfast sandwiches. It was homy and warm.

This place was horrible! They ...

This place was horrible! They have no idea what their business model is. Are they a gift shop or a coffee shop? They don't do either well!

There was an older gentleman running the place by himself. Me, my husband and two friends went in for the "breakfast" advertised on the A frame sign outside.

After taking our orders he went into a back room and shut the door. A long time passed. 3 customers came into the gift shop, waited to buy something, they left without purchasing after not being helped. When he finally came out he served us four inedible sandwiches with microwaved eggs (the gentleman confirmed the cooking method) that had both hard yolks and runny whites! We took one look at the disaster on our plates, paid for our coffees and left. That man is going to get someone sick!

1. He needs to get help in order to run a gift shop and a cafe. You can't cook, serve tables, & run the register for the gift shop all at the same time!

2. Is this place licensed to serve food? Are they meeting inspection standards? Someone should check this out!
