Provided by YP.comA 10th Mountain Soldier's experience and review: Although it pains me to write this, in June 2018, I visited this establishment and suffered a demeaning and demoralizing experience as a result of the management. It does not matter if you are respectful or a long time customer, they do not cherish customer service, their community, or military uniform.
I was informed of having to leave the town for a surprise rotation just the day before, I was in a rush. I had no sleep, packed my gear, and cleaned quickly as to not leave my place unclean. As I was leaving, the dumpsters in my apartment facility were blocked by a large Semi. I had to report for my flight in less than an hour, I headed to Brenda's Pizzaria hoping to use their dumpster, as there was no "No Dumping" sign.
I got off my vehicle and began unloading the bags, none of which contained anything bulky, dangerous, hazardous, or toxic. As I did this, a woman came and began to yell at me to take them out now. I explained my emergency, and the woman was unmoved. Rather than raise my voice, swear, or act unprofessionally in my uniform, I asked that she forgive my mistake if I committed one, and allow this, as the bags now sat on the bottom of the bin.
I even offered to pay them for the inconvenience. Still, she refused to let me keep my dignity and keep a clean uniform, and demanded to take them out of the bin or she would call the police.
Rather than swear or fight, I looked at her and told her that she respects nothing that we do, or the situation I was in.
She yelled angrily, as I jumped into the trash to drag the bags out, after which she continued to swear at me under her breath.
Here at Brenda's Pizzaria, they do not care about the flag on your shoulder getting covered with rubbish, and as a business in a community full of veterans, they do not care about the community that supported them these years. I did not ask for a discount. I asked to keep my dignity and that my uniform and our flag be respected.
