I used this cab company twice daily for 3 years, then I was in a car accident and had to use a walker to get around which made using a good reliable cab co., even more important. I had some problems with a few drivers regarding assistance with the walker but nothing I couldn't deal with. One day I got a driver who was extremely rude and didn't want to take me to start off with but he did. #1 he complained trip was too short($6), #2 he went the wrong way resulting in much higher fare, #3 On reaching destination he refused to give me my change, I always tip! Driver should NEVER demand tip! #4 he threw my change at me and when he got the walker out of the trunk, banged it on the ground tossing it at me and started to follow me inside(co-worker stopped that). I called the co to complain spoke to dispatcher and Sharon(owner) stating I was calling PPA and filing a complaint, was told I don't blame you. Complaint filed same day. Service declined from there on for a week until I called to be picked up from work, told 10 minutes, waited 1 hr., called again where I was told by dispatcher that I never called, I stated that wasn't true and they know I called everyday, twice a day to go to and from work. Dispatcher put Sharon on the phone who also told me that I had not called. Come on now, really?, someone who uses your service twice a day for 3 years, suddenly doesn't know they called to be picked up? Get real. Not only would I NEVER RECOMMEND this company, I GO OUT OF MY WAY to tell me NOT to use them! It's bad enough when workers do things they shouldn't but when the owner does so and effectually calls the customer a liar. Well, all I can say is there are way too many cab companies in the city for me to have to give my $ to such people. $12 a day may not seem like a lot but it does add up and since then have moved and now unfortunately have to spend $25 a day for cab service. The one consolation for me is that I'm not giving it to Capital Cab Co! EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Provided by YP.comI was in a wheelchair at the front of hospital when I called this service. First I waited 15 minutes, and then when no one came I called the company to ask why they hadn't come yet. The man yelled at me. First he told me that they had sent in fact sent me a cab, but that I hadn't been there.
I was told that I should have been more proactive (how, when I was unable to move in a wheelchair?) in catching the driver's attention. When I asked if they could send another one, the man asked me if I was paying with cash or voucher.
The moment I said voucher, he hung up on me.
Capital Dispatch only thinks of immediate cash, and does not care about actual quality service. Go find another taxi service to give your money to.
I am very sorry that happened to you. But the reason you were asked cash or voucher is because we have a voucher account with that hospital and we have to ask that question.As far as being hung up on I will check that out. again i am so sorry and I will take care of this problem. Thank-You.

Provided by YP.comAWESOME CAB SERVICE drivers and dispatches are always polite,cabs are clean, i take a cab everyday to work never had a bad experience yet. They are always on time,only 1 time i had to wait 10 mins but it was raining very heavy so totally understandable, This is my only cab co. Give them a try you will not be disappointed wonderful cab co !!!

Provided by YP.comAvoid using this cab company at all costs. If you must use them, ALWAYS get a receipt or, at the least, remember your cab's number. I thought I remembered mine, but I was mistaken. I often ride cabs in Philadelphia and usually pay in cash so the driver doesn't give a receipt (which, in retrospect, they should ALWAYS do). This was my complete downfall. I left my wallet in the back, noticed it 30 seconds after the cab sped away, tried to run him down, but failed. So, I called their dispatch immediately. Without a receipt or the cab number, the best they can do is issue a text to all drivers (who, by the way, are always talking on their cell phones). A text? Are you kidding me? What happened to CB radios? "Cab at 7th & South. Please stop. Lost wallet in back seat". I wish it was that efficient. I called back every 30 minutes to check in. During my last call, (1.5 hours later) I asked what the dispatcher was texting to the drivers and he said "Lost Wallet. Please call dispatcher if found." When I tried to tell him it would be prudent to include where I was picked up and dropped off at, he continued to talk over me. Literally, I couldn't get one word in. He just kept talking over me, and over me, and over me. I can't stress enough how much he kept talking over me. So, I loudly asked him to please stop talking and click, he hung up on me. GREAT customer service; NOT! I called back to speak with a supervisor. She was most helpful and took down my pick up and drop off location, but that was 1.5 hours after I was dropped off. God knows where my wallet went.

Provided by YP.comRUDE CAB DRIVERS! I was called when he arrived about 30 minutes after I put in the order but when I came downstairs (30 sec or less it took me) he had already driven off. Called back asked where my cab driver was and she called his cab number. He said call another cab I'm not going back and she told me it would be another 30 minutes before another cab arrived. Are you kidding me? This was an emergency and because of this I was unable to pick my car up from the auto body shop and will end up walking my children to school and taking the trolley to work because they closed at 6 and my cab pulled off at 5:30!...no time to get another cab over here. Terrible, will never use this service again.
I am very sorry that you had a bad experience with our company. I am looking into this complaint. We normally do not treat out customers this way. I will find out which driver that was and speak to him about it. Thank You. Sharon

Provided by YP.comI call a cab every day and they are at my house in 10 minutes even on the weekends when I go out I never wait. This past week we had a foot of snow and they sent a cab out with no problem. My friends tried different cab companies in the city that day when it was snowing and they never answered the phone Capital answered and sent the cab out to them. GREAT SERVICE. I will never use any one but them.
