I learned of this salon on IG. Bravely enough, I called and made an appt. The receptionist could be a little more welcoming, but nonetheless, I had a wonderful experience. I was my stylist's only customer, so she focused on me. (No waiting for hours while she styled other patrons.) She was very patient and friendly. My hair was styled beautifully and has lasted a decent amount of time. I definitely recommend this salon to my friends and family. It is a great place to relax and be pampered. I will be back again

I love this place! They have amazing stylist, amazing customer service, and very reasonable pricing! I recommend them to everyone I know, not to mention their a family friendly shop, so you can bring everyone from your Mom, to your sons and daughters, an you all will be serviced with a smile from professional hair stylist

I tried Chocolate City after hearing about it and I have to say they are BIG on customer service! They have a very friendly staff, serve their guest refreshments, and most importantly they do AMAZING HAIR!!! This salon even has a mini boutique with really cute clothes, they have a make up artist on duty and everything! I was really impressed with this salon and satisfied with the service.

Don't waste your money!!!!

Their prices are ridiculously high, they charged me 150$ for a short cut sew in. They did not have to wash my hair or even braid my hair yet they charged 150. With that price you would think you would get the best damn sew-in ever, um no, I came home and took out tracks simply so my hair can come close to looking how i wanted it to be. I told them i wanted the said laying down and the top to be full i got the opposite. only one side was laying down and the whole hair itself was thin, this lady even cut the back, why the hell would i want the back to be flat???? Did i mention how blunt and jagged her so called cut was?

I am sooooooo irritated, can't believe this is the amount of skill they have…o yea the person that did my hair was supposedly the owner 0_0, like no excuses that's even worse.

I've been going to Chocolate City Hair Studio for a long time and they are wonderful. The new hair salon located at 6217 Woodland Avenue Philadelphia is a beautiful salon and spa. This place boost with elegance, and class. Latasha (the owner) is a great stylist and she is just as sweet as pie. All the stylist there can do hair very well and they all make you feel comfortable and special. I do believe in the saying you get what you pay for and at Chocolate City Hair Studio my money is well spent.
