My husband and I were going to attend a function at one of the sports arenas, so I did an online search for a place to have dinner. Since we were driving from Allentown to South Philadelphia, we wanted to have a specific destination in mind and since it was our 27th wedding anniversary, we wanted a 'sit down meal' not a 'cheesesteak wit'. The review I read stated this establishment would make you feel at home. This was more than accurate. From the owner on down to the bus boys were on the spot with what we needed before we knew what we needed. My husband, never a big pasta eater, had a chicken and sausage scallopini dish with penne and even he wanted more. My veal parm, was thin, succulent and melt in your mouth good. And, when over heard by waitstaff that it was our anniversary, the owner himself wished us well. Well worth the excursion down the Turnpike, Blue Route AND Surekill Expressway for this meal alone.
