I only gave this one star because you have to.This place is such a joke-they're all about money.I was there many years ago,& thankfully,I got kicked out.Funny,because they'd accepted me on a Sunday,when they don't ever do intakes.Why?Because of my good heath insurance.And I'd found out later that you have some 'interview' to see if you're serious about being there.I didn't have that.Why?Because of my good insurance they wanted to take full advantage of.If you've got an Access card,they take it (which I understand it's part of the 'rent',but they shouldn't force people to do that,& I'm not even sure if that's legal..)Also,they have 'IP' clients,(people w/an ankle bracelet),& one told me when she was discharged,she got this list of all this stuff she & the other IP clients were supposed to get;clothing vouchers,money,tokens,etc.,but they got none of that-they kept it all,gave them donated clothes,& wrote it off that they had received it.The place is total fraud.And as much money as they rake in,they have mattresses that are like,100 yrs. old w/old cereal boxes holding them up for support.And they just make you do dumb stuff for the sake of doing dumb stuff-like making you walk 25 blocks to a meeting ('you walked that long to cop!' Um,no I didn't-there's this thing called public transportation,cars,taxis)or getting up at 5am when you don't have breakfast til 8am,or volunteering you to do things you didn't agree to.I got written up because I fell asleep during a movie ('Next Friday' btw,a movie about weed!).Maybe if they didn't force you to wake up at 5am for no reason I wouldn't have,& sorry if I wasn't interested in a movie about weed.You can give me the line 'you can't always have it your way' all you want,if something doesn't have a point to it,I know the person's just saying that because they know it,don't have a good argument,& lack intelligence.Actually,all the 'case-workers' do,they're just glorified babysitters for adults w/no degree in anything,except they were once addicts.But that doesn't make them qualified to be a case-worker.The sign outside one of their buildings makes me laugh 'One day at a time,one person at a time,' or what ever.They forgot to add 'One dollar at a time!'.
