Chartered in 2007, the Girl Scouts Council of Eastern Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization that serves girls between the ages of 5 and 17. It administers the Girl Scout program, as well as offers a range of educational services. The organization serves more than 42,000 girls throughout Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania. It also organizes several community events and programs. The Girl Scouts Council of Eastern Pennsylvania maintains an online shop that provides a selection of patches, handbooks, camping equipment and gift items. In addition, it hosts various summer camps. The organization is a member of the National Girl Scout Pen Pal Network.
