Provided by YP.comThis place of business in Northeast Phila is a rip off. Their supposed to rip out the rugs and take them away. Well, when they came to the house, they said they couldn't do it, and I said why,,,,The guy said cause there is a big stain on the rug and it's probably from pet urine. We told him that some Grease spilled, and he said, well we can't rip the rugs up,because of being a health issue. I said what is that suppose to mean. He said if they haul it away in the back of their truck, then it might get the other carpets that are in the back of the truck to get dirty . So I told him that i was going to call the big boss and then he said nicely, Well we can do it for 200 dollars more. Well I went off on him and told him to get the hell out. Heck, that's their job is to rip and removal of the rugs. So, I said to the big boss I said, so just because it had a big grease stain, that is how you company treats their customers? Then the boss said, Mam, the worker said he taught it might of been dog urine....So I said, still if it was, which it wasn't I said that is their job to remove and rip of the rugs. We argued back and forth.....and I told the boss what the worker said to me,...I said to the worker, I said it's your job to rip and remove the rugs, I also said, my rug won't be the first or the last to have a stain. This is what he said to me.......He said, Mam you can eat from my floor..... Well this Italian girl didn't take any crap, so I told him to get the hell out of here. Save your money people, DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS AND MONEY....THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE TIME OF DAY.

Provided by YP.comTypically not one to complain but I thought everyone should know to NEVER shop at any Airbase stores carpet and tile stores in the area. I went to pickup a carpet we purchased at Lomax Carpet and Tile in Montgomeryville, Pa. on December 23rd. As they were loading it into the back of my pickup truck the employee driving the forklift ran the forklift pole attachment thru the back of my windshield and shattered it. No big deal, things happen...I was not upset and they apologized and wrote me out a receipt on the computer saying they were responsible and would pay me back when I had it replaced. I had Safelite replace it and submitted the receipt to Lomax. The employee said they would mail out a check next week...again no problem. I get a call from the owner yesterday and he proceeds to tell me that they are not responsible for damage to customers vehicles and will not reimburse me. Just filed a Civil Complaint against them. TRUE STORY with no exaggerations on my end

Provided by YP.comI just wanted to share my positive experience while visiting Lomax located on Grant Avenue. I am remodeling my bathroom. I was clueless with decor and the color for the tiles. Jay Harley, the flooring consultant, spent about two hours helping me pick out tiles and all the accessories which I needed for my bathroom. I am forever thankful for his set of eyes and expertise in his color coordination. Thank you again!!! If there any other people like me who struggle with picking out tiles and matching the colors, go visit Lomax and ask for Jay.

Provided by YP.comAfter being lured into the store by the promise of $59 carpet installation I ordered outdoor carpet and opted to use their installation services. Upon inspecting my estimate I noticed that I was charged $139 for installation. When I called I was informed that that's the price for glue down installation and that outdoor carpet must be glued down. I can understand a different price for glue down, but every roll of outdoor carpet in the store had a tag on it advertising $59 installation. I went ahead anyway and when the installer was finished he handed me a bill and the installation charge had gone up to $160. Turns out they charge installation on the total sq footage of product ordered, not the size of the space where actual labor occurred. Why am I paying an installer to "install" waste carpet? I have researched this and it is not the industry standard. Yet I was told that it is company policy at all 12 stores. I asked if I had ordered 1000 extra square feet that I didn't have installed, if I would have to pay for its installation as well, and was told that I would.

Provided by YP.com0 stars. In fact if there was a negative rating I would give them -5. We ordered wood floors off of them a year ago. The people they contracted to install our floors waited for me to look away and then robbed us. Not only were they thieves now my floor is coming up and looks terrible. They went through the draws in our buffet and found our checks and robbed us of $6000.00. When we contacted Lomax they told us to contact their corporate headquarters. After a year of emails and phone calls they have not even had the common courtesy to say they were sorry. We got our money back from the bank but Lomax did nothing for us except ignore us. This is the absolute truth it can be confirmed in Bucks County PA Doylestown court records. NEVER GO TO LOMAX!!!!!!!!
