I gave Nancy my Luxury condo to rent out. It was in a prime location in a desirable high rise condo. Once the contract was signed she sent a novice that knew nothing about taking photos of the unit to take the photos even though she said before the contract was signed she would take the photos herself. we had to direct her staff ember on how to take photos and they still turned out awful. I had emailed Nancy and said i had some great photos would she like to use them she declined. Then i noticed she did not have the pictures posted on her web site. She had them up for a few weeks and then took them down. she ignored emails several times when she didn't feel like answering me. She kept telling me that the rent was too high even thought it is a rental market in Philly. I lowered the price many times to below market and still nothing. She never communicated. Never answered me why she took it off her web site. She never handled anything herself she always had her people. I then was told she had a renter. I was waiting for the lease and when i emailed her she said she was working on it which was a lie as i called our bldg manager and she said a rental app was never applied for. I then emailed Nancy again and she emailed back that the Renter went with something else. She never told me!! When i emailed her that I was upset and why wasn't I told she ignored me. I was then told by someone else she had her own personal rental properties that she pushed first. Very professional. So if you want an unprofessional company and you do not want them to communicate with you over anything. If you are looking to have time wasted and your emails ignored this is the company to go with. You would have thought she would have done a professional job so she could get the listing to sell it next year. I have had many properties and many Realtors in different areas and by far she was awful! Everything in this review can be backed up with written correspondence.

Maxwell Realty knew what an important financial and personal purchase this would be. They approached it very pragmatically.



Nancy recommended that we get pre-approved for a mortgage. Outlying the the price quoted in today's tumultuous market but what we were getting was the underlying worth of the building. We found a home we loved, but it was beyond our means. Nancy talked the price down, and we are so confident to have made this investment. The entire process was stream-lined and easy.



Side note, Nancy has a great eye. I really respect her aesthetic, but she also listens attentively to our needs and preferences. Really pays great attention to detail.

Do not rent with this company! Maxwell Realty is the worst rental agency I have ever used in my many years of renting. We moved out after 2 years of renting because the owner of the house wanted to move back in. We left by midnight, and at 7am the next day the owner was inside the house ripping up the floors and completely remodeling everything. Maxwell didn't even bother to check out the property beforehand for any damages. We left it in great condition, but seeing as it was our word against the owner (who conveniently was a lawyer) we got screwed out of our $2,000 deposit. We had to pay to remodel the owner’s house! We complained to Maxwell in a very formal and civil manner. They said it was out of their hands and we would have to take it up with owner but to "be careful, because he's a lawyer." What an unprofessional way to handle any issue. Maxwell wiped their hands of this situation and refused to help or hear us through. We lost a lot of money due to Christine’s and the rest of the office's negligence and terrible business practices. Run! It is not worth dealing with the hassle that will come a long with your renting, no matter how nice the home.

We were not easy buyers and these guys at Maxwell got a deal done for us when it looked like we would be renting. Seems like they earned every penny of the commission. I am finishing my rotation at U Penn hospital, and needed a place to rest my head. Nancy Alperin and her team got us the best value possible on this house. She even insisted upon showing us around the new neighborhood. Such charming and helpful people.

My boyfriend and I recently decided we wanted to live together. We were on a search for the perfect 1br apartment in Riverwest to give us enough space for us and our new bull terrier puppy. Christine helped us find the home of our dreams. She was the most thorough and thoughtful realtor I have had the pleasure of working with. Christine knew how to single out the spaces which would best suit us. Her attention to detail and honesty are unmatched. Cannot wait to work with Christine again... maybe next time around we will be buying. Fingers crossed!

beware of this company. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. Don't ever list with them for a sale or rent. If you do, you were warned! We listed a rental with them and ended up having to hire an attorney.
