No where else can you walk in and feel comfortable and at home immediately. The staff is friendly, smart and service is great. The food is always great and the bartenders are fast and friendly. The only downside might be it gets so busy sometimes there is a wait for a table (obviously it's got a great rep!).



As I read these reviews i am laughing at the "genius" who went to Drexel who is complaining about the drink specials. New Deck isn't a sloppy college pub and the "owner" is a restaurant group who also owns SLAINTE PUB (means cheers in gaelic) at the corner of 30th and Market so this self proclaimed "insider" who claims the "owner" left this to some daughter doesn't have his facts straight. Poor guy .. maybe he's just bummed that New Deck remains a predominantly Penn grad school/HUP/Law school crowd and this guy just wants somewhere he can puke on a floor .. head to Cavanaughs buddy! And for anyone else reading this, head to New Deck and you'll understand what all of the excitement is about and why it's the most famous bar in University City, if not Philadelphia!!
