In our apt bldg there could have been a major fire, but there wasn't. Instead, it was apparently a cooking problem. We were all shaken up.The firemen who answered the need were unmistakably irritated;it showed, even toward tenants that were NOT responsible. One firefighter in particular(Onslewsky[?]) was very cold toward me, making it clear he wasn't in the mood to be decent or polite when I asked him "was everything alright?" There's no question that false alarms can be fatal for someone else. We,as tenants were scared awake and upset. But we didn't need additional pain from a cold firemen who may have had to save our lives!
