Based in Philadelphia, Pa., the firm specializes in various categories of books, such as social justice, radical theory, culture, anarchism and related ideologies. Wooden Shoe Books also serves as a place for authors, musicians and activists to present their work on several issues. The all-volunteer democratic collective specializes in anarchist and radical literature. It offers the local community with radical and non-traditional sources of written, digital and spoken information. It acts as a resource for activism, art, self-education, dialogue, community-building and anti-capitalism.
