Founded in 1948, Arthritis Foundation is an organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions. Based in Phoenix, Ariz., it is a contributor to arthritis research in the world, funding more than $380 million in research grants. The firm provides an array of community-based services, such as self-help courses, water and land-based exercise classes, instructional videotapes, public forums, brochures and booklets, among others. Arthritis Foundation has partnership with (CDC) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (NIAMS) National Institutes for Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, (CARRA) Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance, to name a few.
