Education Dr. Jamal earned his MD at the University of Tishreen School of Medicine in Syria, where he earned the Award for Academic Excellence. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Missouri and St. Luke’s Hospital – Mid America Heart Institute in Missouri. Dr. Jamal completed his Cardiology fellowship at Wright State University School of Medicine in Ohio where he served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow and Clinical Assistant Professor. Quality He is Board Certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Vascular and Endovascular Medicine. Dr. Jamal is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He has been published in multiple professional journals for his studies and research including: Circulation Journal, Endovascular Today, Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology, Catheterization and Cardiovascular Intervention Journal. Dr. Jamal is a lead investigator and sub-investigator in many research studies helping identify new devices and treatments to improve patient outcome. Dr. Jamal is currently sub-investigator in Low Risk TAVR (Trans-Aortic Valve Replacement) study. Involved Dr. Jamal works closely with Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital and serves on multiple committees. He is also the Medical Director for Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital’s Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care Committee and lead in hospital’s chest pain accreditation. He serves on Professional Performance Evaluation Committee (PPEC) and serves as Vice-Chair of Endovascular Department for ABRAZO Arizona Heart Hospital and ABRAZO Central Campus. Dr. Jamal is also on the ABRAZO Central Campus Teaching Faculty for Family Practice Residency.
