As a donor I enjoyed my experience at BPL. It wasn't until I became employed with BPL that my opinion changed drastically. The leadership fosters an unhealthy work environment by participating in gossip or skirting their FDA Regulated duties. As a new hire I overheard and observed the training specialist making inappropriate jokes of sexual nature as well as sharing about her drug use. Countless times I've had to back date a document or sign a vaccination waiver, instructed by training and management, because the center was subjected to an audit and the paperwork apparently wasn't prepared. Employees are regularly chastised on missed production because they were not properly trained on standard operating procedures and were instead just given a paper to sign. What's worse though is that donors and their charts containing protected health information are made fun of. Because of what I experienced as an employee; I will NEVER be a customer again. Please seek out CSL or Grifols Biomat.
