The bureau balances recreational, commercial, scientific and cultural interests and works for the protection of renewable and nonrenewable resources, including range, timber, minerals, recreation, watershed, and fish and wildlife. The Bureau of Land Management maintains offices in Arizona, Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Utah.
