Eric R. Goldberg, MD FACP is a Board Certified Internal Medicine specialist and Fellow of the American College of Physicians. After graduating summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, he attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Earning his MD with Distinction in Research, he then spent 3 years as an Internal Medicine resident at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital. Following his residency he was asked to spend an additional year as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine there to help train the newest physicians in their own journeys. After completing his residency, Dr. Goldberg joined a preeminent private practice in New York City, and reached the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU. During his time in NYC, he became a clinical leader in Information Technology, serving as the Assistant Director of Clinical Informatics at NYU Langone Medical Center. After 13 years of practice in NYC, Dr. Goldberg joined Scottsdale Healthcare as an Internist with his practice located in the Arcadia area of Phoenix, AZ, where he applies the same high quality care to his new patients. He continues to advocate for the use of clinical information technology to provide the utmost in care and has been featured on health topics in local newspapers and television. As an Internist, Dr. Goldberg takes the lead in helping patients identify risks to future health and well-being; prevent problems, and find the diagnoses that threaten their health today. It is with the realization that a proper diagnosis sets the foundation for all future health issues that he began The DiagnosisMD blog. Besides his clinical work, Dr. Goldberg is an avid runner and tennis player. He is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, and has run two half marathons with them (and several on his own) raising over $30,000 to help finance research into these devastating illnesses.
