Established in1988, the International Sports Sciences Association is also known as ISSA. The organization has educated and provided personal training certification programs for more than 130,000 people in over 85 countries. It offers special courses for children, athletes, senior citizens and disabled individuals. The International Sports Sciences Association provides sports nutrition, master trainer, and exercise and fitness therapist certification courses. The organization maintains public and education divisions. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) and is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). In addition, the International Sports Sciences Association offers online sports medicine certification courses.
