Provided by YP.comI was a very loyal and long term customer at Nailspa and also left good tips for their good service- I even had their phone number on my speed dial on my cell phone because I would never call any other salon and the managers knew this! I always told Tony (the manager who did my nails) that I appreciated how nice he was and he even gave me gel coat sometimes at no charge as appreciation for my loyalty to Nailspa. Up until today, 8/17/2010, I was very happy with their services and would not think of going elsewhere. Several weeks ago, Tony did my nail fills and told me that the next time I came in that I would need a new set of nails put on- when I told him that money was tight for me right now and that I may not be able to afford a new set as there was a $5.00 charge in addition for taking my old nails off. He replied, "don't worryl we'll take care of you" and stated that he would not charge me the $5 because he appreciated my loyal business at his store, I called this AM to make an appt to do my nails and when I reminded Tony that he told me that he never said anything about the $5.00 discount several weeks ago for taking the old nails off. I didn't make an appt on the first call to him but after thinking about it, I called back to make the appt, and figured that he probably did not remember me on the phone but I hoped that when I came in that he may recall what he said - and if not, if he was nice about it, I would just pay the $5,00 and go with it - when I sat down for the service he did not welcome me with any courtesy - the first thing he said, was why didn't you get a back fill - I replied that he recommended that I get a new set the next time I came - he then replied with a rude tone that he would not charge me this time for taking off the nails* and added that if I want them taken off again to just do it myself. I did not reply to his rude comment - I did ask him to please leave extra white on the nail tips and he did not do that for me as I had asked him to do. At the end of service
* he did wind up charging me for the $5.00 for taking my old set off .
He never even asked me if I wanted the gel coating that makes the nails last longer. My bill was $50.00 which included $45.00 for the new set plus the $5,00 for taking the nails off and THEN i also gave Tony a $5.00 tip even though he was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable while I was there. He immediately walked out of the salon to smoke a cigarette after I signed the charge ticket without thanking me. His spouse, who was taking care of another customer, was kind to me and told me thanks with a smile. I replied back to her that I appreciated her saying that to me. I then walked out very sad because I really thought that I had a great repore with Tony and had planned to use Nailspa permanently and refer folks to them. I really feel that it is their loss because I was a very good paying customer and a very loyal customer as well.
Sincerely, Carol C.

Provided by YP.comMy roommate and I splurge on a pedicure every now and again. And after sampling 3 or 4 other places, we'll definitely be making regular trips back to this one. It was cozy, the folks were really nice, and the price was very reasonable. What I liked most was the warm stone massage, then the warm towel wrap on my feet, and unlike some other nail salons, it didn't smell like nail polish when you walked in! It was an awesome experience! I'd recommend it to anyone!
