Company illegally acquired title of my car by filing false statements on State Forms to the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department. He had my car towed from my house to his place of business and told us initially $600 for repairs. He stated that he did not have my car for repairs, that he never gave us a written or verbal estimate, and that he had no contact with us. Car was there for 1year and 3 months when he started process. We had made several attempts to contact him but to no avail. He never showed up at shop when he told us to meet him, or we could not get a straight answer in regards to when we could pick up. My attention to matter came once I realized I was being charged a $500 Abandoned car fee by the AZ MVD. The MVD (Chris, a supervisor at the Abandoned Vehicle Department)told me that had he reported that he had the car for repairs, they would have never issued a title to him, but a mechanics lien.
