Provided by SuperpagesA member of the intake team at Haven Senior Horizons called me to offer my family a bed after his case manager informed HSH and other facilities of his need. The initial call was disconnected before I was able to get much information and a second call came in while I was on the other line and a voicemail was left. An additional phone call came in from HSH while I was walking through the ER which I did not take. I was trying to coordinate with other family members and get back to my loved one who was still in the ER. It took me 49 minutes to return the voicemail, during which time the HSH employee contacted the ER and complained that I was rude for not receiving her calls. A phone call I unfortunately overheard in the ER. This was not about helping a potential patient and the family but about money. My family is going through a very difficult time and HSH should have been far more understanding and compassionate. And patient. One would think compassion and understanding should be part of their business. I would never recommend this facility.

Provided by SuperpagesWe were very concerned about my father's behavior and needed to find a hospital that would treat his dementia- he was rapidly declining. We needed help quickly. My sister and I called Haven and they immediately sent out a nurse to interview and assess our Dad. She was wonderful- she was warm and compassionate and explained everything to us as she did the assessment. We were so impressed with her (Karen, the nurse) that we decided to admit Dad to Haven. My Dad received wonderful care while at the hospital and we always knew what was going on with his treatment. Our Dad is back and we cannot thank the staff at Haven enough. We felt that we got very personalized care from the very beginning. Thank you so much!
