Provided by YPmobileI recently took the Phoenix Ridesmart class and highly recommend it to anyone looking to obtain a motorcycle liscense. I went there with no knowledge of motorcycles. The class size was small and conducive to learning. The teachers were absolutely amazing and did a wonderful job keeping the classroom time interesting, informative and interactive. The riding and skills training was done so well I felt confident in my safety, and in the provided training of this new skill set. The exercises were broken up step by step and the foundation for a skilled rider was taught with hands on learning and close support from instructors. The class was fun but very serious about safety, proper skills and execution of such. I felt confident in my progress and felt assured by their strict rules and implication of serious immediate fail situations. At no time did I feel my safety or the safety of other learners was compromised. The kindness and support of Ridesmart did not end at my class, they continue to support, direct, and spend time helping me begin my career as a rider successfully.

Provided by YP.comI attended the BRCII course on Feb. 16 2016. I chose RideSmart because the course schedule fit my calendar and the price was very competitive. The classroom and facility was simple and clean and the staff was friendly, courteous and professional. I had a lot of fun and got to practice some seldom used skills and maneuvers in a safe and supervised environment. I am 59 and have been riding for about 12 years and I definitely learned something from this experience. I would recommend this course to any rider from a beginning to experienced level who would like to improve their margin of safety on the street. If I had any suggestions to improve the course it would be to add just a little more class room time to preview/review the maneuvers, discuss common errors and ways to improve performance in more technical detail.

Provided by YP.comThe motorcycle training I received was great. The teachers have a positive attitude. Answered everyone questions, gave clear instructions and provided examples of everything that was expected from us. I wish it was a two day riding class as I had that much fun learning from these teachers. I highly recommend Ridesmart Motorcycle Training to anyone.

Provided by YP.comJust finished the Basic Rider Course (BRC) and I have to say that the staff is GREAT! I had never ridden before and the staff was very patient and didn't make you feel like an idiot. All of the staff made the class and range exercises a great experience by interjecting humor and personal insight into everything. I was expecting to be bored and had a "just want to get it over with" attitude. I was completely wrong. I really enjoyed the class and received the instruction I needed to feel comfortable riding. These guys are awesome and the price for the BRC is very competitive as well. The facility was perfect for what they do and having everything in one place made it even more convenient. If you need a motorcycle endorsement this is the place to go to receive fun, professional rider training. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Provided by YP.comHighly recommended. They try and make it a fun educational experience, if you have zero experience riding a motorcycle I would recommend buying a cheap small bore dirtbike and going out to the desert and get some skills, balance, braking, leaning, etc...then come to class, it would make the experience MUCH less intimidating for you and you will have a much better chance at making it through the course successfully, though there were 3 people with zero riding experience in our group and they passed.

At age 46 I decided to learn to ride a motorcycle for the first time ever. I had no clue what school to go with as they all offered the same thing, were close to the same price, all said they were the best, but luckily for me a friend told me about ridesmart and the great experience they had with them. I had no riding experience at all but that was never an issue with my instructor's nor did they make me feel like it was EVER. I was treated like everyone else with or without riding experience and strongly encouraged the entire course. I would recommend ridesmart for all skill levels as you will be treated equally, no matter your skill level, treated with respect, always, I said always and most of all encouraged to succeed in every aspect of this course. In the end You will feel like your life long friends taught you to ride!

Provided by YP.comAfter riding a friend's motorbike about 15 yards and deftly parking it in a bush at the tender age of 14, at 42 I again thought it would be a good idea to give motorcycling a try.. Not wanting to hit the streets without any experience, and chance adding to the woes of the world, I signed up to RideSmart figuring I would be paying for a little saddle time, just to see if Motorcycling was really for me..
The Thursday class was theory led by our classroom instructor James. James did a great job keeping the classroom atmosphere light, while touching on many of the serious safety concerns, and remedies to those concerns, which new riders should be mindful of when actually operating a motorcycle.
The additional level of real rider based experience James brought to the classroom you will not find in any booklet issued by the AZ Department of Transportation.
During The Class-time, We watched short videos, and answered questions based on what we had researched as a team, in a book, which was provided by RideSmart, and all this basically prepared us for the test at the end of the evening, which everyone in the small class of 10 had no issues passing.
The Saturday Class was spent all day on bikes.. The instructors did an excellent job in keeping up morale, as even though it was pouring rain all day, the exercises we were asked to participate in were safe, and very achievable in such weather, even for somebody - like most of us attending in the class - who had very little to absolutely no experience on a motorbike.
With no real previous riding experience, I felt a little self conscious, especially when I messed up a little during testing. Erik, and Don especially were very helpful in positively motivating me at those times, being Very supportive, encouraging, and doing everything in their power to instill self-confidence in my ability to do what needed to be done to successfully complete the exercise.
The result? Even though Most everyone in our class hadn't much or any real riding experience.. Even though bikes were occasionally dropped during practice, and mistakes were made.. We all practiced hard with kind encouragement and help from our instructors Don and Erik, and at the end of that day, we ALL Walked away with a Passing Grade and a card which allowed us to get that much-coveted Motorcycle Endorsement.
It must be mentioned that I had read a couple of suspiciously negative reviews written by a couple of people about RideSmart before I signed up, and for the life of me, I can't understand what some are choosing to lay at the feet of this school. It is important to understand that this Is a school after all, and although not everyone will graduate - from my experience - I will say that the vast-Vast-VAST majority - of those with little to no riding skill Can Graduate.
I Highly recommend RideSmart, Especially If you have confidence issues due to having little to no experience on a motorcycle. Don't think for a second you wouldn't fit in, as In our class we had a young lady, a guy in his 60's, me in my 40's, a couple of younger people, a father and son, and we all had a great time.
If you are like me.. With Absolutely No Experience on a Motorbike, this Is the school for you... Nervous?.. Deep Breaths, Relax, Listen to the Instructors, Let the bike do it's work, Smile, Have fun, You'll do fine..

Provided by YP.comThis school is fantastic. I have always been on the back of my boyfriends bike and wanted to move up to the front. So to say I had no experience is spot on!
It was an easy class to sign up for. The staff was encouraging, positive, patient, and friendly. The material was made for someone like myself, and took me step by step through the riding process.
It was more fun than I could have imagined, and I still keep in touch with the nine other people that were in class with me. I graduated...as did the rest of the class. I can't wait to meet back up with some of the other students from RideSmart and go on a group ride!
Thank you in particular to Don, Brian and Angela. You guys are top notch professionals!
