Provided by YP.comDisappointing. My wife and I both come from Italian families, just moved to the Moon Valley area right down the street, and have been quite eager to dine here. Atmosphere is nice & cozy as expected, but after we were seated, no one ever came to our table to greet us or take orders. It was not busy. After 20 minutes - no exaggeration - I had to leave my table to go up front to get the hostess to get our family table service. My meal was very good, but my wife's Veal Michelangelo was very, very dry & hard to chew. The waitress said to us, "Anything else?" when bringing us dessert. Really? She should have offered espresso, cappuccino, coffee or something. "Anything else?" was not a nice way for a good wait staff to greet guests at a place touted to be fine Italian.
Update: Spoke w/ Jennifer who claimed to be the manager there of 3 years, told her of our family's experience. She did not have much to say except for a fumbling, "sorry, we'll make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else", blamed the problems on the recent change of ownership. With the good reviews from what appeared to be seasoned patrons and/or regulars, we were willing to come back for another try, but Jennifer offered absolutely no incentive for us to come back, and didn't even try. Places like this intended to be the old school dining style are hard to find, and seems like this place may be going the way of the dinosaur, too, when staff doesn't try anymore. That's really too bad. Best of luck to the new owners.
