I was drawn to dermatology because skin is the first thing people see. When the skin has a healthy appearance, it can affect someone’s entire psyche. I remember seeing the emotional benefits of dermatology vividly when I treated a baby’s port wine stain with a dye laser. After four sessions, it was completely gone, and the look on the parents' faces said it all.
