Provided by YP.comThe Touchstone I visited, 35th ave and Greenway, was full of rude, unhelpful women. I did an intake in September and just today got a call back from the 'case manager'( today is November 1st) assigned to my child's case. We were told his diagnosis did not make him eligible for immediate counseling (and they got the diagnosis from me telling them what was given to him 5 years and in another county at an unrelated agency) So, my sons symptoms of anxiety have grown progressively worse, which I did call and tell them, and the response was; "It hasn't even been a month since your intake". Well, in my opinion, if you have a child that is in need of mental help 2 weeks is too long, let alone a month or six weeks.
So I have had his case transferred and asked the person who handles transfers to close the case (I was told it should be no problem, by the new agency, since he did not receive services only an intake) so that I am able to have an intake done at the new counseling agency, and just found out through the 'case manager' that it was never closed. I think this place is a joke and I don't care how many posts they have on their website saying their program is 'scientifically proven', I have dealt with them and have had more problems than help or solutions.
I don't think they deserve one star, but had to give one.
Bottom line; You yourself will feel as if you need counseling after dealing with these people.
