This guy needs to put a sign on his front door, "Whites Only!". Then he'd complete the experience of doing business with him. As a Black Man I found his attitude offensive and dismissive. I would avoid his place like the plague and take our business elsewhere!

The first time I was at this shop was in 1962 when my dad took an old bike here for repair so I could learn to ride. As a kid growing up I would visit this shop and dream of the bikes and parts they had and help out every once and a while learning how the bikes worked. At that Leon worked in the shop and when the original owner was ready to retire Leon's dad took over. I went to school with Leon and we grew up in the same neighborhood not far from the store and Leon is a good guy always has been. Because of the early involvement at this store and feeling of acceptance I went on to work for 5 years as a bike mechanic myself. I now live about 12 miles away but if I needed repairs or parts and still lived in the Sunnyslope area there would be no question where it I would go, Try Me! Keep up the good work and remember to keep inspiring the kids to learn and repair. Thanks Leon for a life time of dedication to the neighborhood and families and holding out against the big flashy stores. This

I was having an issue with my spokes in my wheels and the wheels were not true. They were able to straighten my rim and I also had him go through my bike and repack or replace bearings and adjust the shifters.Rides like new and he didn't try to sell me a new bike like other shops try to do.Thanks guys!

The owner of the shop acted like a real dick head when I called him on some prices in order to justify paying for some repairs he did. You just don't smart off to customers like that. The customer is always right. I don't know if this guy thinks he is the only bike shop in town, but he isn't. He needs to be a tad cooler with customers. I find it VERY hard to believe that ALL his reviews are great. I was in there twice; both times he was a dick. T

I went in to purchase a used bike part and it was a pleasant experince......I didn't feel like i was being taken advantage of: like at most places. The owner was helpful and pleasant.

Great service, reasonable prices, wide selection of new and used bikes and parts, and excellent customer service. We've been buying bike parts from Try Me for several years now. We stopped off for some tires and a chain the other day, and brought the bike in for an adjustment. The owner removed the chain links free of charge, and also helped us loosen the pedals for replacement. Very helpful with advice and instruction for those of us who are only mildly mechanically inclined. I highly recommend Try Me Bicycle.

This shop is one of a kind. I have always bought all my bikes from this store, and always will. Service is excellent, product is excellent. Most of all, the intregrity of the owner is above all.
