DON'T WORK THERE! They abuse their employees. They only care about MAKING MONEY! They can't keep employees. They take away VACATION time and write employees up for not making productivity. Staff work up to 80 hours a week and only make $30,000 year. They don't get paid for over time. It is illegal! Their case managers and supervisors are inexperienced. I know of case manager SUPERVISORS that were hired with less than 2 years of experienced. I know of a former case manager trained new employees and she only had 4 MO of CASE MANAGEMENT EXP. Also, I know of many case managers written up, put on probation, and fired for NO REASON. This happens because the inexperienced supervisor wants to blame someone else for her mistakes. It is not a healthy environment to work in. Also, I know of several employees that were stressed out about making units that they committed fraud to make their units. The company finds out about it and the person gets fired. Then they hire investigators to the the families daily after reading the service docs to verify if the case manager was there. They never figure out what to do prevent the fraud. They expect the case manager to write a five page doc for a visit. They been way too detailed in the docs. If the docs are handed in a few minutes late the case manager can get written up and even fired. Also, if the chart does not look perfect the case manager can get written up and fired. I use to work there three years ago. I also currently work as a case manager at a different agency. I don't experience any of this type of abuse. This only happens at Devereux. None of the other agencies treat their employees so poorly.
