I agree that you should check out the person's accreditation. However, I've been going there for 2 years and have had the best counseling I've ever had. My counselor has helped me deal with difficult issues from my past that are causing issues in my present life: deep depression, anxiety, and ADHD. It's been a tough journey and the journey still continues but I didn't expect it to all be fixed overnight when I've been dealing with it for 40 years before starting here. You also get out of it what you put into it. My counselor gives me homework of things to try and as silly as some seem, I try them. Some work, some do not but everyone is different. By the way, the counselor I use at this center is a Christian but didn't mention it til I mentioned my faith. He respected me and was professional enough not to force his beliefs on me.

Find out the councelors degree and accrediation. Have someone go with you. Christain counceling helps better.
