There are no words to describe how excellent ABM Ministries Lighthouse Christian Academy is; the staff are incredibly caring, loving, empathetic, and use lots of positive reinforcement and humor to encourage each boy to become the best version of himself. Our son was a student here for a couple of years, and his personal growth (emotionally, spiritually and academically) has been absolutely amazing! Mr. Larry (a pastor), Ms. Carmen, Mr. Reed and Ms. Beth and the rest of the staff all embody what it really means to be a Christian and to love others - and are successful in imparting this message to the students, and in changing their hearts, minds and decision-making processes. Every time we visited, we were so impressed at how well-behaved all the boys were, especially knowing that they're all there because of significant behavioral issues at home. The classrooms are state-of-the-art, the student-teacher ratio is only 12 to 1, and there is great diversity in the student body - which we appreciate as our son is African-American. And the tuition is a bargain! The facilities and grounds are beautiful, impressive, and spotlessly clean - always. There are lots of sports, field trips, contests and fun activities for the boys - see for yourself in the videos on the website. We will always be grateful to ABM Ministries for helping our son!

This place is FAR from Christian! I wish I could post a review on their website but you can't! They are physically abusing these boys, lining them up and punching them in the face. They are mentally abusive knocking books out of there hands and restraining them for no reason. There is no Bible study no prayer no Biblical principles what so ever! My poor son was tormented for 6 months at that place...im so angry at myself for not knowing! There are children TRAPPED there! Someone needs to do something about this place :(

We are spending thousands of dollars in counseling repairing the abuse suffered by our child at the hands of these people. They have a horrible reputation in their local community as well. Just call the local police and ask their opinion. This school has been forced out of other states, and they are only in Missouri because of the state's extremely lenient laws pertaining to private schools.
