Visited car wash today. Have a monthly membership. They provide an easy pass for your windshield. Pulled into easy pass lane two and it would not read my membership. This has happened before. I had to back up and pull into lane one easy pass. When I did this I scraped the side of my truck door handle on the sign between the easy pass lanes. I realized I had grazed the sign but did not think there was any damage. When leaving car wash manager asked me to wait as he had called the police. He said I had damaged his sign which cost 1700 dollars and he wanted a police report. I explained that his easy pass in lane two was not working and that is why I was forced to change lanes. I walked to the sign which had a one inch scratch on the side. Pictures were taken to confirm. Again I asked manager who refused to give me his name if he understood that I had to change lanes because his equipment was not working. He said he did not care. Police Office arrived and was shocked that it was not me making the complaint for the scratch on my door. I just stood in shock at this. I am a local resident and am saddened that this is how a business feels they must act. Could we have not resolved this without the police? Perhaps the owners of this business should spend a minute with the manager and provide him with training on how to deal with customers. Needless to say cancelled my full price membership. Mr Manager: was that worth loosing a full pay monthly local customer?
