AMAZING PRE-SCHOOL! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school! The Director is a University of Miami graduate with a Phd, what a score for this small intimate family oriented school! The staff is wonderful and they have taken this this pre-school to new heights with a wonderful, loving, caring learning environment - visits are encouraged go by and see for yourself!

This preschool is a hidden treasure! My son has been attending KUMC for the past 2 years and we are extremely happy with the director, the teachers, & the families. It's refreshing to have my son excited to go to school each morning. The positive changes Dr. Joy has made in the school and curriculum is beneficial to all. She is an asset to the school!

I am in love with this school. My son wakes up every morning looking forward to see his teachers and school staff. We are welcomed every morning by the school director. She knows every student's name. My son's teachers are one of a kind. They go above and beyond for their class. They are aware of each students needs and capabilities. I couldn't have chosen a better school for my son. After months of school searching I am happy I made the best decision. The summer program is excellent for the new students as it helps smooth the transition of kids entering a new school. Looking forward for the rest of the school year.

There was obviously an attempt by one or two disgruntled former teachers and/or parents who would trash Kendall UMC and slander the Pre-School Director. Until this year the previous director and her minions were more interested in a paycheck rather than the children in their care. The former "teachers" did an injustice to our children and to their profession. Rather than instilling a stable, caring and nurturing environment, they pushed back when they were going to be held accountable. I would encourage any perspective parent(s) to see for themselves what the preschool has to offer and to make their own mind with what they see rather than what they read.

My two children attended for 2 years. The first year was beyond wonderful, but this past year was traumatizing to say the least. My children's teachers kept quitting and were replaced by last minute hires. The new director was cold and condescending to parents, students, and teachers alike. The supposed new and improved curriculum is a joke (my kids learned way more last year.) We're not going back but I do hope they figure it out and hire a director that has some social skills and actually has knowledge and know how in regards to young children.

Strongly recommend staying away from this school until a new director replaces the current one and is re-established with some well-respected teachers again. It used to be a wonderful school that I would not hesitate to recommend because of its charm, sense of community, parent involvement and EXCELLENT preparation for kindergarten. Not so anymore. I am pulling my child out of the school after 3 combined years there, 2 wonderful, 1 very shaky.

It's a great community & I really hope for the best in its future but believe that only possible with a new director. The teachers have not been given adequate training on new curriculum & I feel like my child is attending a day care, instead of a preschool. I wish for best but don't want my child to be the guinea pig during transition.
