This is in regards to my golden retriever and issues surrounding the care and direction for treatment of his diagnosis of diabetes from your office.Although correctly diagnosed with diabetes, the prescription offered was for Vetsulin, requiring specific U40 syringes; both of which are impossible to get from a pharmacy and extremely expensive. When I asked of the possibility to purchase Vetsulin through an online supplier, I was told that “he doesn’t do that. That is how he makes his money and keeps his business going.” He was prescribed 20 units of Vetsulin 2x a day, to retrieve urine daily, and adjust unit dosage accordingly.Surely, as veterinarians, you must have some realization as to the improbability of collecting a dog’s urine 2x a day and adjusting the dose accordingly. There are much better options and much less expensive options out there for treating diabetes.A 10 ml vial of Vetsulin lasted slightly more than 9 days, at the expense of more than 55 dollars.Your Piqua office also only had a total of only 10 U40 syringes and a total of only 8 more at your Troy office. You supplied me a total of 9 days of syringes and 9 days of insulin!Your office also charged me for a box of 40 syringes, which I did not receive and was not told they were being ordered or that I was paying in advance for them.I was also told to put him on Hill’s WD prescription diet despite the fact that he has been on Eukanuba Weight Control diet which I told your office. The WD, of course, is available through your office or with prescription at more expense.I was, however, promised that insulin had been ordered and would be delivered to the Piqua office on Wednesday,July 3rd and I would be called when it arrived. When I did not hear from your office late Wednesday afternoon, I arrived at your Piqua office at 800am on Friday,July 5th,assuming that the Vetsulin had been delivered and someone forgot to call me as promised.Since your office is not open past 600 pm and offer no Saturday AM hours and given the amount of Vetsulin prescribed, surely as his veterinarian you would know that Cooper would need both the Vetsulin and the syringes quickly and before the weekend ends and your office your office is not open. Not only was the insulin NOT there, the syringes offered to me were not the correct ones to use for Vetsulin. The assistant on duty, realizing my situation and extreme anger, graciously refunded what I had been charged for the syringes that I did not receive.Realizing these challenges with your office for his treatment, I knew I had to find a new veterinary office. On Friday morning, the assistants in both the Piqua office and Troy office were understanding and agreed to fax over Cooper’s records to my new veterinary.I had already arranged an appointment with the new veterinarian for Saturday morning. My new veterinary office supplied a MUCH less expensive insulin and syringes, they wrote a prescription with refills, easily obtained at Walmart. For the price of 37 dollars,I received both the new insulin and new syringes.A box of 100 syringes for Novolin N was less of an expense than what YOU charged me for a box of 40 U40 syringes. And, happily,Eukanuba Weight Loss diet is just fine for him and he doesn’t need to switch to the expensive prescription WD.I spent over 300 dollars with your office.Had I not taken control of the treatment of my dog,my expenses would have continued to sky rocket due to the Vetsulin you prescribed for him,not to mention the inconvenience of only being able to get that from your office. And,of course, provided the appropriate follow up from your office to ensure you had it would only have continued to be an unnecessary frustration to me and risk to my dog.here seems to be more of a desire to make money and have ‘bankers’ hours than take care of your customers and animals.Perhaps you need to develop a sense of understanding of what service is and how to retain your customers.

THIS BUSINESS IS A BUSINESS AN...

THIS BUSINESS IS A BUSINESS AND WORKED ON OUR EMOTIONS AND HID SOME OR ALL THE IMFORMATION THE RESULTS OF OUR DOGS DIAG. (WHICH DIED WITHIN 24HOURS)WHEN WE WERE AT THE CLINIC IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO TELL US SHES DIEING THAN MILK US FOR MONEY, NO WHAT WAS SAID WAS OH FOR $3600 WE CAN WATCH HER FOR 3 DAYS, BUT WE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO KEEP AN EYE ON HER MINUTE BY MINUTE BUT I CAN CK IN ON HER 2 TIMES A DAY, AND GO FROM THERE, WE HAD THEM TAKE BLOOD INSTEAD AND THEY COULDNT EVEN TELL US WHAT THE RESULTS WERE. I RECIEVED NO PAPERWORK , NO BILL JUST A TOTAL I OWED ,AND TO LEAVE I OWED OVER $500 DOLLARS AND OUT OF THE 5 HOURS WE WERE THERE A VET SPENT 20 MINUTES TOPS WITH MY 6 YEAR OLD BLUE MERLE SHELTIE(WHICH SHE DOESNT WORK THEIR ANYMORE OF COURSE), THEY WERE MORE WORRIED ABOUT HOW I WAS PAYING THAN HEY SHES DYING I BELIEVE THE LACK OF EXPERIENCE CAUSED A LARGE BILL, FOR A LOVED ONES LOST CAUSE, THIS HAPPENED IN OCTOBER AND THEY HAVE REFUSED AS OF 2-2-2012 TO STILL NOT GIVE ME A BILL I NEVER RECIEVED ONE, AND THEY WILL NOT SEND ME THE XRAY I PAID FOR, I HAVE NOT EVEN SEEN THE BLOODWORK PAPERWORK, SO I DONT KNOW IF MAYBE MY OTHER SHELTIE IS CARRING SOMETHING, TODAY I'M WRITING THIS BECAUSE THE VET SENT ME A POSTCARD REMINDER THAT MY DEAD DOG NEEDS TO GET HER USUAL ROUND OF SHOTS, MY WIFE CRYED FOR HOURS AND WAS SO MAD. I CANCELLED 2 OF THE 5 PAYMENTS, AND THEY ARE CALLING ME EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS, AND TELLING ME THEY ARE SENDING THE RETURNED CHECKS THE THE COURTHOUSE (WHATEVER THAT MEANS)TODAY THE OFFICE PERSON CALLED MY WORK AND TOLD MY BOSS I WROTE THEM BAD CHECKS, THAT DIDNT GO OVER WELL WITH MY COMPANY, I THOUGH THERE WERE PRIVACY ACTS IN PLACE. VERY UNHAPPY MORE THAN MY DOGS GONE, ITS THE COLD FEELINGS I HAVE GOTTEN.
