The home is one of the best examples of Georgian architecture in New Jersey. The Low House has a dual purpose, to interpret the history of this fine structure, but also to research and mount rotating exhibits about New Jersey history. Recent exhibits have included a Centennial display on New Jersey during World War I, and an exhibit on New Jersey Diners. Visit the current exhibit 'Micah Williams: Portrait Artist' through June 30, 2023. FREE ADMISSION - Open Year-Round, excluding Holidays, Rutgers Football game days and Rutgers graduation Group and school tours by appointment. The Cornelius Low House/Middlesex County Museum is a Historic National Register home built in 1741 for Cornelius Low, a wealthy merchant of Raritan Landing.
