Be afraid, be VERY afraid

When work was done waterproofing mother's basement, the worker's left the original drainage sump untouched, in fact, they disconnected the pump in it and assured my mother she wouldn't need it . Work was done in August 2009. On 12/11/09 the basement is flooding. Calls to the company's main number unanswered (877-661-9283). You have to leave a voicemail. Call to the Piscataway NJ number (888-573-3724) was answered. Waiting on a call from the "Service Rep; Frank."

Been over 2 hours and am still waiting. Am not confident these people stand behind their work. My question is: What idiot leaves an open sump in a wet basement and thinks the sump will not flood? 15 thousand dollars spent and my mother's basement is still flooding.

annoying!

i called on a friday to make an appointment for JUST an estimate. i made the appointment for three days later on a monday. LESS than 12 hours later i got a garbled phone message that i couldn't understand. I got one word.."home" so i assumed it was healthy home. I didn't get the message till sunday. SO monday morning i called and was told they cancelled my appointment because i didn't answer for the confirmation phonecall. I didn't know i was going to have to confirm. I JUST made the appointment. When i told them to please have someone out since i had made it a point to be home they said that ALL the decision makers HAD to be here to do the inspection with them. I wasn't going to be hiring them that day. I was asking for an estimate. Not to mention the homeowner (my grandmother) is 90 years old and can not go down to the basement where there is damage. They were rude and acted like my business didn't matter. I was very disappointed in their attitude.

Pressured Sales Techniques

Very dissappointed with their pressured sales tactics. I felt as if they were proposing more work than was needed just so they can make more profit. They did not appear to have my best interest in mind. Their technique was to offer me a lower rate if they can start immediately (within 2 days), but I had to make a decision that night. I felt pressured and asked for time to think about it and I was told that the offer was only good for that night and that I would not get the same offer the next day. After additional estimates (2) received, this companies tried charging more than 50% more than competitors. Poor sales techniques and did not feel comfortable with this company. Further, they claimed that they would pull a permit but when I called the town, they adivised that it takes 7-21 days to obtain a permit so I don't know how they would get a permit to start within 2 days. At any rate, felt that the sales team was deceptive and too aggressive. I would not trust this company.
