IEEE also known as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is a nonprofit professional association that provides a range of services for the advancement of technology. It has more than 350,000 members that includes over 80,000 students in more than 150 countries. The organization was founded in 1963 and performs more than 450 conferences worldwide each year. IEEE provides a variety of educational courses for students on various topics that include artificial intelligence, communications, and computer engineering, networking; instrumentation and measurement. It also offers courses on signal processing, cyber security, human resources management, telecommunications, and wireless and project management. Additionally, the professional association provides distance education courses. IEEE is located in Piscataway, N.J., and has branches in Washington, D.C., and Los Alamitos, Calif.
