Pittsboro Fire Department works to protect the lives, property and environment from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. The department provides fire suppression, hazardous material response and educational services. It works with a fleet of an engine, tanker, grass truck and trailer, as well as ambulances command vehicles. Pittsboro Fire Department covers an area of over 30 square miles and provides services to nearly 3,000 people. The department works with a team of more than 15 full- and part-time staff members. It is located in Pittsboro, Ind.
