You do get what you pay for; that saying is true. I knew when I bought my very old home that I would need to find great service providers for the work that needed to be done that was outside of my own abilities. Comfort Living Fireplaces has been the ONLY provider that has actually done everything they said they would do, when they said they would do it and for the amount discussed. Thank you Kathy and Bob. Had two of my four fireplaces converted to gas, Valor units, and really wish we would have done this earlier. Even with the difficulties my home gave the contractors, they came up with solutions to make it work. They cleaned up all the debris when the inside chimneys fought back and by the end of the two days, we had beautiful working fireplaces that were quickly claimed by the cats. Could not be more satisfied. Now to save up for the other two fireplaces.

We first went to Comfort Living Fireplaces and scheduled them to come inspect our fireplace to see what could fit in our old house fireplace. They came when we had scheduled and called within two days to give us a quote. We shopped around a little and couldn't find anything that looked as good as what they had. We decided on the direct vent insert fireplace from Velor. We returned to the store two weeks before Christmas and asked if it was possible to get it delivered and installed within a week. They came through and it was installed the next week. Kathy and Bob were very friendly and professional and did a fantastic job for us.

I found their communication to be poor and unreliable. I regularly had to call to inquire of the order status and scheduling. They cancelled appointments on numerous occasions after the scheduled arrival time. They ordered the wrong parts or forgot to order parts thus delaying the actual project twice. The project took two months in total (this should have been more of a two to three week process). No compensation for my time was ever offered (it was apparent that they did not value it). However, they were the cheapest I found. It just goes to show, you get what you pay for.
